TORONTO, Feb. 28, 2014 /CNW/ - Groupe Média TFO and the Association
francophone à l'éducation des services à l'enfance de l'Ontario
(Aféseo) are uniting their expertise to set up an inaugural training
and experimentation laboratory in Aféseo offices in Ottawa. This
follows the signature, on November 23, 2013, of a three-year memorandum
of understanding between TFO and Aféseo aimed at promoting the
Francophone education sector in Ontario while supporting the
professional development of Francophone early childhood educators in
the province.



This partnership will allow Aféseo members to take advantage of various
interactive tools of the Labo TFO, which was designed and implemented
by Groupe Média TFO. Through this alliance, they will be able to
participate in distance education activities, and they will benefit
from a yearly subscription to educational resources offered on the TFO
Éducation website (tfo.org/education).



In return, Aféseo will offer privileged access to the laboratory through
the TFO Éducation website, providing its training and professional
development activities to Francophone early childhood educators and
teachers and increasing its visibility on various platforms.

FLW College Fishing National Championship Headed To Lake Keowee

SENECA, S.C., Feb. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- FLW College Fishing is headed to Lake Keowee March 6-8 for the FLW College Fishing National Championship presented by the Lowrance Insight Genesis College Cup. Forty-nine college teams will be competing for a top award of a Ranger Z117 and entry into the 2014 Forrest Wood Cup, the world championship of bass fishing.

"Lake Keowee is kind of a miniature Lake Hartwell, really," said Walmart FLW Tour pro Andy Morgan. "It's deep and clear and has a good population of spotted bass and largemouth. There are some magnum largemouth in there."

Morgan said anglers will favor offshore tactics during the tournament - jerkbaits, drop-shot rigs and shaky-head rigs.

"There may be a few caught by dock fishing, but it will probably be dominated offshore," Morgan said. "Once it warms up, they're hard to catch. Once they come off the bed you can catch them for a couple of weeks on topwater baits, but then they get hard to catch. If I had to pick one time to be at Keowee this would be it.

"My guess is you'll see 75 percent spotted bass at the weigh-ins," Morgan added. "And it's going to take 16 to 17 pounds a day to win."

Anglers will take off from South Cove County Park located at 828 S. Cove Road in Seneca, S.C., at 7 a.m. Weigh-in will be held at South Cove County Park starting at 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. Weigh-in Saturday will be at 3 p.m. at the Walmart located at 1636 Sandifer Blvd. in Seneca. Takeoffs and weigh-ins are free and open to the public.

The national championship awards the top team a $30,000 prize package, including a Ranger Z117 with a 90-horsepower engine and an entry into the 2014 Forrest Wood Cup. Meredith expects to complete the acquisition of the Phoenix stations - KTVK - TV, an independent, and KASW - TV, the CW affiliate - by June 30, 2014, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.? According to Eurodata TV Worldwide, more than 60% of entertainment programming launched in Israel in 2013 was original production, as were 50% of fiction series.

On Sunday 6 April, as part of MIPFormats, the session "Business Opportunities in Israel," will set out how to work with one of the fastest-growing content markets in this special focus featuring major production and distribution companies from Israel.

The main event, "Focus on Israel" at MIPTV,takes place on Tuesday 8 April in the Palais des Festivals. It features a screening session, "Fresh TV From Israel,"showcasing the hottest, ground-breaking content from Israel presented by Virginia Mouseler, CEO of The Wit.

The Israel Focus will also feature two dedicated sessions. The first,"How to Create Successful Scripted Formats/Dramas," will look at how exporting fiction in the shape of formats has allowed national topics to attain global success, with Israel being one of the long-standing leaders in this field. The second session is entitled "Israeli Innovation Seminar: From Start Up to TV." In a connected world, great content must be paired with an engaged audience around an epic experience which links two inseparable worlds of TV and technology, where creators work together to produce great storytelling - an area in which Israel has excelled in recent years.
