LOS ANGELES, June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Bob Kevoian and Tom Griswold, the nationally syndicated duo with one of the highest rated morning radio shows in America, took home awards for "Syndicated Personality/Show of the Year" in the National Radio Awards category and "Personality/Show of the Year" in the Classic Rock category at the 2005 Radio & Records Industry Achievement Awards. Radio & Records is the leading industry trade publication for the radio and recorded music industry.
The Bob & Tom Show airs on 150 stations in morning drive and is consistently #1 or #2 on over 70 percent of their rated radio affiliates. More than five million listeners tune into the program on a weekly basis (source: Arbitron Nationwide Fall 2004, Cume, Exact Times). Growing rapidly, the show has added 54 radio stations to its roster in the last three years.
"Bob and Tom have perfected edgy, entertainment talk without the relentless shock jock content," said Kraig T. Kitchin, president/COO of Premiere Radio Networks, the show's syndicator. "This has resulted in an incredibly successful 10 years in syndication, as evidenced by these two most recent honors."
On a good roll, Bob and Tom are nominated this year for induction into the National Radio Hall of Fame in the "Network or Syndicated Radio Show" category. With their unprecedented four Marconi awards (Radio's Oscar), seven Billboard/Airplay Monitor awards and five previous Radio & Records awards, The Bob & Tom Show is one of the most honored programs in the radio industry.
