Bank of America Makes Entry Into Motorsports by Announcing Two Major Sponsorship Agreements
WHAT: Bank of America today marked its entry into motorsports by announcing an agreement with Speedway Motorsports, Inc. (SMI) to serve as title sponsor of the Bank of America 500 at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, NC. The agreement with SMI also entitles Bank of America to be an official sponsor of five SMI raceways throughout the country. Bank of America also announced an agreement with Turner Sports to be the presenting sponsor of the "Countdown to Green" pre-race program which airs on NBC's and TNT's national broadcasts.
Bank of America National Market President Graham Denton and Global Marketing Officer Cathy Bessant, SMI Chairman & CEO O. Bruton Smith and Chief Operating Officer H.A. "Humpy" Wheeler, TNT personalities Wally Dallenbach and Marty Snider, and NASCAR Driver Kasey Kahne will announce the agreements during a press conference at Bank of America's Corporate Center at 11:30 a.m. ET today.
