Outdoor Channel Holdings Announces Management Changes at its Winnercomm Inc. Business Segment

Senior Leadership Transition Follows Cost Reduction Initiatives

TEMECULA, Calif., Nov. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Outdoor Channel Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:OUTD) today announced a number of senior management changes at its Winnercomm Inc. business segment. These executive appointments are consistent with Outdoor Channel's efforts to integrate its Winnercomm business and constitute the next strategic step following a previously announced cost reduction plan.

The senior management changes are effective immediately and as follows: -- Jim Wilburn, founder of Winnercomm, has been named Chairman of Winnercomm and will report directly to Roger Werner, President and CEO of Outdoor Channel Holdings. -- Jason Kays has been named Chief Executive Officer of Winnercomm and will report directly to Tom Hornish, Chief Operating Officer of Outdoor Channel Holdings. -- Marc Kidd has been named President of Media Sales for Winnercomm and Outdoor Channel Holdings. He will report directly to Mr. Werner.

"These leadership changes are part of our ongoing integration efforts to align Winnercomm with the broader Outdoor Channel strategy, bolster Winnercomm's management strength, and capture and drive synergies between the two businesses," said Roger Werner, President and Chief Executive Officer of Outdoor Channel Holdings. "Jim Wilburn and I have been friends and colleagues for over 25 years. He is one of the smartest and most effective independent producers in the sports television industry and I am thrilled to have him working alongside me in the development and expansion of Outdoor Channel's portfolio."

Mr. Werner continued, "Jason Kays has served Winnercomm with distinction since joining the company over three years ago and we are excited to welcome him to his new position. Marc Kidd brings a solid background in high level sports sponsorship sales to Outdoor Channel at a time when this type of experience is critical to the ongoing development of major new client relationships outside our traditional base of endemic advertisers. Moving forward, we are highly confident in this senior management team and its ability to help execute our integration strategy and best position Winnercomm and Outdoor Channel for future growth."

In his new role as Chairman of Winnercomm, Mr. Wilburn will lead a variety of strategic business development efforts across the corporation, designed to deepen Outdoor Channel Holdings' position as market leader in the Outdoor segment and also expand Winnercomm's footprint in related service segments. Prior to joining Winnercomm, Mr. Kays held key leadership positions with a variety of media companies, including Belo Corporation.
