HITN TV will air constant coverage and showcase programs, Destination Casa Blanca and Dialogo de Costa a Costa, to highlight the Presidential Inauguration starting Saturday and until Tuesday
NEW YORK, Jan. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hispanic Information and Telecommunications Network, Inc. (HITN TV), The First National Spanish-Language Public Television Network in the United States, will broadcast a special "Renewing America Together" series starting Saturday, January 17th until Tuesday, January 20th, to cover the Presidential Inauguration of President-Elect Obama. "Renewing America Together" includes continuous, live, daily updates on HITN TV to focus on the Inauguration of the First African-American President. Beyond constant updates, HITN TV will feature special day and evening broadcasts of Destination Casa Blanca and Dialogo de Costa a Costa, and the Presidential Inauguration Swearing-In Ceremony. Destination Casa Blanca will be hosted by award-winning broadcast journalist Marlene Fernandez, and journalist Malin Falu will host Dialogo de Costa a Costa.
HITN TV's "Renewing America Together" series includes: live updates of the Presidential Inauguration starting Saturday, January 17th and throughout Tuesday, January 20th; on Sunday, January 18th at 10:00 P.M. EST, a feature Destination Casa Blanca to discuss the Inauguration; on Monday, January 19th at 12:00 P.M. EST, Dialogo de Costa a Costa will discuss the historic legacy of Martin Luther King and President-Elect Obama; on Monday, January 19th at 9:00 P.M. EST, Destination Casa Blanca will commemorate Martin Luther King Day.
On Tuesday, January 20th starting at 10:00 A.M. EST, HITN TV will feature an exclusive, live, bilingual English/Spanish combination of Destination Casa Blanca and Dialogo de Costa a Costa, which will include a live call-in segment from viewers. This feature will be covered from Washington, D.C., to highlight the Inauguration and the response of the Latino community to this historic event. HITN TV will also broadcast live the Swearing-In Ceremony of President-Elect Obama as the First African-American President of the United States.
