PARIS, November 12/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The 2007 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of Eutelsat Communications, (Euronext Paris: ETL), one of the world's three leading satellite operators, was held on November 9 in Paris under the chairmanship of Giuliano Berretta, Chairman of the Board. At the meeting, the statutory and consolidated accounts for fiscal 2006-2007 were approved. The shareholders decided to distribute 0.58 euro per share taken from the "Share Premium" account which will be paid on November 14, 2007.
Shareholders also approved the nominations to the Board of Directors of Tobias Martinez Gimeno, Carlos Espinos Gomez, Carlos Sagasta Reussi, Andrea Luminari, Jean-Luc Archambault, Bertrand Mabille and CDC Infrastructure, represented by Jean Bensaid.
Consistent with corporate governance best practices, Eutelsat Communications broadens its Board with the approval of the nomination of Pier Francesco Guarguaglini, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Finmeccanica, as independent director. The Board of Directors of Eutelsat Communications comprises 10 directors, including two directors.
