The Mtn. Expands Online Coverage and Access With Relaunch of TheMtn.tv

DENVER, Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Starting today, sports fans of the Mountain West Conference will get more inside news and special coverage of their favorite teams via the Internet with the re-launch of the Web site for The Mtn. -- MountainWest Sports Network, featuring a multi-media offering of minute-by-minute scores, podcasts and even tailgate recipes from around the conference.

Produced by the nation's first TV network devoted to a single collegiate athletic conference, the new Web site -- at http://www.themtn.tv/ -- gives fans access to:

-- The Mtn.'s programming and event schedule -- NCAA sports ticker with the latest scores -- Latest news from around the MWC -- Recipes from the tailgate segment of the "Friday Nite Pep Rally" shows -- Bios for anchors and game talent

In addition, members of the press can register on the Web site to gain access to high-resolution photos and logos.

With the re-launch, TheMtn.tv transforms into a multi-media offering, allowing fans online access to network studio programs such as "The Mtn. Cap" and "A Conversation with Joe Glenn." New programs will be updated on a weekly basis, and ten to twelve shows will be available at any one time. Programming from The Mtn. has already proven to be a popular online attraction. Clips from The Mtn. have attracted 118,225 unique views on Comcast.net since content from The Mtn. was first added to that site last December. In the future, The Mtn. will feature game highlights on TheMtn.tv so each week fans can relive and share the key plays and memorable moments from games on the network.

In addition, the Web site features The Mtn.'s mascot, Sadie the border collie. Sadie is a big fan of MWC teams, and has appeared in several commercials for The Mtn. and visited schools around the MWC. Fans can learn more about Sadie in the "About" section in the toolbar.

The Web site also lets fans check if The Mtn. is available in their area and, if not, directly contact their television provider to request that The Mtn. be added to their television lineup.

"We are excited to make more content available online to MWC fans," said The Mtn. Vice President and General Manager Kim Carver. "We've built a comprehensive Web site to give fans an easy and interactive way to follow their teams and their network. As the dedicated home to Mountain West athletics, we are committed to serving our viewers by providing robust and compelling coverage."
