Swiffer CarpetFlick Sweeps Into the Fall Season With FOX

- Swiffer CarpetFlick and FOX Sweep the Fall Season by Donating to Charity -

CINCINNATI, Oct. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- What do you get when you unite the hottest new household cleaning product with the most anticipated fall television lineup? Swiffer CarpetFlick premieres with the new FOX season, "sweeping up for charity at the FOX Fall Casino Party," Monday, Oct. 24, at the Los Angeles Cabana Club.

The "FOX Fall Casino Party" will celebrate the new Swiffer CarpetFlick and the return of FOX's fall series. This star-studded event will bring together two pop culture phenomena from the worlds of TV and home care to celebrate the Fall television season. Scheduled to attend are stars from FOX's award-winning shows such as Arrested Development, House, The O.C., Prison Break, That 70's Show, Stacked and Malcolm in the Middle. The Los Angeles hot spot Cabana Club: Sterling Steakhouse will feature a casino night theme, including poker tables, roulette and the ever-popular card game, Texas Hold'em. It's no surprise that casino night is the theme for the evening, since it has become the hottest gaming trend of 2005, which makes teaming up with CarpetFlick, the hottest cleaning trend, a perfect fit.

Swiffer will not only turn the red carpet orange -- emblematic of the CarpetFlick -- but will also conduct onsite demonstrations at the event. In addition to donations made by FOX to multiple charities, celebrity guests will be asked to "Flick the Wheel for Charity," demonstrating the new Swiffer CarpetFlick with proceeds benefiting Habitat for Humanity. "Flick the Wheel for Charity" gives celebrities the opportunity to give back via a "Wheel of Fortune" theme; attendees will demonstrate the CarpetFlick and then spin the wheel.

"Swiffer CarpetFlick transforms traditional vacuuming methods by providing a quick and effective way to clean up a carpet mess, leaving consumers time to do the things they enjoy most, like watching their favorite television shows," says Kristine Decker, Swiffer Brand Manager. "By sponsoring FOX's Fall Season party, we are associating the hottest product among women -- CarpetFlick -- with the hottest shows on television."

Those who can't make it to the FOX Fall Casino Party can use Swiffer CarpetFlick to clean up after their own casino nights at home. Troublesome chip and pretzel spills are instantly trapped by CarpetFlick's super sticky adhesive for quick and easy disposal. Swiffer CarpetFlick will be anteing up and raising the stakes of carpet cleaning, both at home and at the FOX Fall Casino Party. Increase your odds for cleaning up this fall with Swiffer CarpetFlick!

About CarpetFlick

The innovative Swiffer CarpetFlick is a carpet sweeper that uses a unique cleaning cartridge with super sticky adhesive on both sides to trap and lock dirt instantly. When the cartridge is full, simply toss the dirty cleaning cartridge, reload, and you are ready to "flick" up the next particle mess. Just flick, trap and toss. With its disposable adhesive material, the top side traps particles like crumbs, dirt and leaves while the bottom side helps trap bits of fuzz and lint.

Swiffer CarpetFlick is currently available in stores nationwide. While P&G does not set retail prices, the Swiffer CarpetFlick is expected to retail at $12.99. Each starter kit contains one carpet sweeper and four cleaning cartridges. Refill cleaning cartridges are also available at $4.29 for a pack of 12.
