Left Behind: World at War Opens Friday at a Church Near You; Participation Across the Country Makes Local News a National Interest

WHAT: Cloud Ten Pictures is distributing Left Behind: World at War via the church instead of the traditional movie theater. Nationwide, there are currently 3,000 participating churches and a presence in all 50 states, making this a wide release by industry definition. The film will premiere in Hollywood later this week in the same manner as its distribution -- in a local church.

WHO: Returning cast of Kirk Cameron, Brad Johnson, Chelsea Noble, Gordon Currie and Janaya Stephens, adds Academy Award winner Louis Gossett, Jr. playing the role of US President, Gerald Fitzhugh. Additionally, Craig Baxley (Kingdom Hospital, Rose Red) came on board as director, with producer and co-writer Andre van Heerden. Brothers Peter and Paul Lalonde, co-CEOs of Cloud Ten Pictures, introduced the radically unique idea of enlisting churches as screening locations for first run movies.

WHEN: Nationwide Opening The film will debut in churches and ministries across the nation the weekend of October 21, 2005. Each location has complete discretion on when and how many times the film will be shown over the weekend.
