Latest Installment of the Poker Royale Franchise - 'The James Woods Gang VS. The Unabombers in Poker Royale' - Set to Premiere the Same Night

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Oct. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- GSN's Friday "Casino Night" gets fresh interstitial programming with comedian Matt Iseman giving away cash and prizes on the Las Vegas Strip starting Friday, October 7 (10:00 PM to Midnight, ET/PT). Premiering in the "Casino Night" block that same evening is THE JAMES WOODS GANG VS. THE UNABOMBERS IN POKER ROYALE, in which Oscar and Emmy-nominated actor James Woods' team of celebrities and poker pros take on the infamous Phil "The Unabomber" Laak and his crew of celebrities and top-rated poker aces.

The new interstitials will run approximately six minutes during breaks in the two-hour block. The short form programming features a 2006 Hummer (supplied by General Motors) that converts into a mobile game and prize rig that will cruise the streets of Las Vegas visiting various Vegas landmark spots.

Iseman and his sidekick showgirl, played by Alysha Wheeler, will randomly invite people from the Strip to The Palms Resort to compete in "Casino Night Challenge," an engaging trivia game in which they compete for various prizes, such as $1,000 in Palm Casino chips, Sony televisions, Play Station PSPs and more. Keeping in the game show spirit, the "Casino Night Challenge" also includes the chance that a winner may get only a Vegas-themed zonk -- such as a discount at a local wedding chapel.

In addition, the randomly selected winner of the "GSN Rolling Jackpot," a $5,000 weekly prize, will be announced by Iseman. Eligible for the prize are GSN viewers who have registered on the GSN Rewards affinity program on GSN.com. However, the money must be claimed by the registrant by the following day, or the $5,000 "rolls over" to the next week and could grow up to $50,000 through the 10 week promotion.

"We think our new 'Casino Night' interstitials are a fresh concept that will further engage and reward our loyal viewers," said Dena Kaplan, Senior Vice President, Marketing, GSN. "Our viewers will not only have fun watching our entertaining poker programming, but will enjoy the night's host Matt Iseman as he brings his unique charm and sense of humor from the Vegas Strip, providing the chance for one viewer to possibly win $50,000. This added bonus of winning the rolling jackpot also brings extra excitement to our core audience who love to watch and play games."
