25th Season of Action-Packed Tackles and Dazzling Halftime Shows Kicks Off September 3 With the Detroit Classic: Jackson State vs. Hampton University

WASHINGTON, Sept. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- This fall, BET is on the field for every hard-hitting tackle and game-winning pass of Black College Football action! Scheduled is a lineup of six games pitting top college athletes and long-standing school rivals. The 25th season of football match-ups kicks off Saturday, September 3 at 7 p.m. ET with the Detroit Classic: Jackson Sate vs. Hampton University, from Ford Field in Detroit.

Lending their on-air expertise for each game are veteran sports anchor Eric Clemons, handling play-by-play calls; former New England Patriot, Jay Walker giving color commentary; and actor/comedian Joe Torry, on the sidelines catching all the action. The Black College Football tradition would not be complete without the excitement of famous "Showtime Half-Time" featuring half- time battles of the best college marching bands. BET will once again be on the field to bring viewers all of the thrills and antics of every half-time show.

"Black College Football has been a longstanding tradition with a loyal fan base on BET," said Stephen Hill, BET's Executive Vice President of Programming and Talent.
