FOX Uses Friendster Blogs to Introduce Fans to the Cast and Crew of 'Stacked'

Online Journals of Pamela Anderson and 30 of her Cast and Crew Members Give Fans a Behind the Scenes Look at What It Takes to Create a Hit Series

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Friendster, the easiest way to stay in touch with your friends, today announced it is working in conjunction with FOX to promote its upcoming series, 'Stacked,' through the use of Friendster Blogs, a free weblogging service that enables members to create and share online journals and photo albums. More than thirty members of the cast and crew, including 'Stacked' star Pamela Anderson, have Friendster profiles and blogs, providing insight and images on the making of the show, and a look at what's going on behind the scenes.

"FOX's primary imperative when launching a new series is to make noise that compels viewers to notice both the show and its cast," said Chris Carlisle, executive vice president, marketing for FOX. "Creating buzz is key to generating interest from our youthful audience, and we believe Friendster will provide an interactive connection between 'Stacked' fans, the cast and the team responsible for creating the show. Then, as the season unfolds, dedicated fans will be able to follow along with exclusive, up-to-date, behind-the-scenes information and insight."

"Blogs are today's hottest form of self-expression and communication," said Scott Sassa, chief executive officer at Friendster. "We are proud to be breaking ground with FOX and the 'Stacked' team as they use blogs to share their personal experience of what it's like to make a hit comedy. We'd like to thank everyone involved for their hard work and creativity to make this really innovative experience so compelling."

The 'Stacked' blogs on Friendster are viewable to the public at http://stacked.friendster.com/ . Cast profiles are only available to Friendster members. To become a member, individuals must register at www.friendster.com. There are no fees to join Friendster.

'Stacked' is a 20th Century Fox Television production. Steven Levitan and Jeffrey Richman serve as executive producers. Heidi Perlman and Stephen Lloyd are co-executive producers.
