ABC-TV's 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition' Selects Breuners Arizona Again as Furniture Source!

Fallen Soldier and Hero, Pfc. Lori Piestewa's, Family Is Chosen

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., April 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Local, family owned Breuners Arizona was selected to be ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" furniture source for the second time in two months in Arizona. This home will be 4,300 square feet located in Flagstaff, Arizona. The first home was a 5,500 square foot home in Gilbert, Arizona.

"When I was initially told that Extreme Makeover Home Edition was coming back to the Valley, I was happy because I know, first-hand, the profound effect the show has on families. When I found out that Breuners Arizona was invited to participate again, my jaw dropped! 'Didn't we just complete the Okvath home?' I thought. I wondered if we could really pull off a contribution of this caliber again so soon. I definitely needed to find out more. When we learned that the episode would feature the family of Lori Piestewa, knowing the ultimate sacrifice she made for her country and her family, we rolled up our sleeves and dug in. Breuners Arizona is honored to help make Lori's dream come true," stated Tom Daley, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Breuners Arizona,

According to producers of ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," Breuners Arizona was asked to participate again because "we could never come back into this state and not call them. Their company is awesome to work with".

To date, Breuners Arizona will have donated well over $125,000 in furniture and home accessories in helping both the families, both of Arizona. "We are highly honored that this blockbuster reality TV show has come to us for the second time in 2 months and we are once again thrilled to be right back in the middle of it all, donating over $65,000 in furniture and accessories to the new Piestewa family home in Flagstaff, Arizona and the Navajo Nation's Veterans Affairs Office in Tuba City," added Daley.

Breuners Arizona is having a special sneak peak of the furniture and accessories selected by the design team of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." Visit our showrooms now at 8026 W. Bell Rd. or 1776 N. Scottsdale Rd., until the Breuners trucks are filled for the delivery to the new Flagstaff home at 5125 E. Brandis Way. Address not for publication.

The premise of the show is a race against the clock. A team of designers, 100 construction specialists, and even neighbors have seven days to completely renovate, or in this case, build an entire house plus exterior and landscaping, a project that would ordinarily take four to six months to complete.

"Unbelievable -- that's all I can say about the experience. We are thrilled to be doing it for the second time," said Mary Ann Levitt, President and CEO of Breuners Arizona. "The first time we did this event was a tremendous learning and team building encounter and we've been able to keep that energy, spirit, and enthusiasm going in our everyday work. We had it before, but this will take it to a whole new level."
