Karen Hill Named Vice President, Employment and Development for Paramount Pictures

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., April 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Karen Hill has been named Vice President, Employment and Development, it was announced today by Paul Richardson, Senior Vice President, Human Resources. The appointment is effective April 7, 2005.

Hill will be responsible for recruitment, employee relations, and leadership development, supporting the Paramount Motion Picture Group. She will report to Richardson.

Prior to joining Paramount, Hill served as Senior Human Resource Business Partner/Executive Director at Sony Pictures Entertainment for seven years. She was responsible for aligning Human Resources programs with business strategies for a variety of divisions. Hill and the team she led provided human resources support to over 900 employees worldwide.

Before Sony, Hill served three years as Senior Human Resources Development Generalist at Atlantic Richfield Corp., and five years at American Express as Manager, Human Resources. She has an M.B.A. from the Anderson Graduate School of Management, University of California, Los Angeles.
