Maggie Jimenez Milks the Moment as the New Milk Mustache Celebrity

This modern mom shares her recipe for a strong family to encourage Hispanics to set their dinner table with milk

MIAMI, March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Mexican TV host, chef and mom, Maggie Jimenez partnered with the Hispanic 'got milk?' campaign to encourage Hispanic moms to 'milk the moment' by setting the dinner table with milk. Debuting in the next milk mustache ad alongside her daughters, Maggie hopes to show Latina moms how easy it is to help strengthen families by setting the table with milk.

"I am truly honored to join the Hispanic Milk Mustache Campaign, as a mother there is nothing more important than building a strong family and setting good examples such as drinking low-fat milk and sharing meals together. Given the nine essential nutrients that milk provides, pairing it with dinner is an easy way to help build a strong family both physically and emotionally," Maggie said. "I encourage all Hispanic moms to do the same."

The Secret Recipe: Setting the Table with Milk

As the latest milk mustache advocate, Maggie wants to educate Hispanic moms on how serving milk with dinner can significantly increase the nutrient value of any meal. Milk is naturally nutrient-rich like no other beverage and provides a unique combination of vitamins and minerals that are important for all family members. This is particularly important for growing children, who frequently fall short in calcium, vitamin D and potassium - all nutrients supplied by milk. Studies show that when kids eat dinner with their families, they're more likely to have nutritious diets, healthier weights and do better in school.

"One of my favorite ways to 'milk the moment' is by drinking lowfat milk with dinner. Because of our busy schedules, dinner time is family time in my home. It is the one chance we're all together and can discuss the day's events. And by setting the table with milk, I know that I'm doing the right thing for our health. Milk is truly the perfect partner when it comes to building a strong family," said Maggie.
