Music Discovery Site LP33.tv Forms Content Partnership with Channel Zero to Supply Video Music Programming for Canadian Cable Network, Movieola - The Short Film Channel

LP33.tv on Movieola Launches on January 19th, 2009

SANTA MONICA, Calif. and LONDON, Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- The TV-centric music promotional and discovery site LP33.tv (http://www.lp33.tv/) today launched a content partnership to supply branded video music programming for Channel Zero's Canadian cable network Movieola -- The Short Film Channel (http://www.movieola.ca/).

The first such deal from LP33.tv is part of the new music venture's ongoing strategy to distribute and promote music and videos by new, emerging and big-name artists on global media entertainment platforms, including traditional TV outlets and out-of-home channels.

"We're primarily in business to help lesser known and undiscovered artists not only 'make it', but ideally go platinum," said LP33.tv Chief Creative Officer Vlad Lodzinski. "We want to fill the void left by MTV in music programming on television. This partnership and our large and growing network of scouts across Canada mark our commitment to providing groundbreaking new artists in this vibrant and diverse music scene with international exposure to fans and entertainment professionals looking for true talent."

Movieola -- The Short Film Channel presents the very best of action, drama and comedy films -- from celebrated Academy Award(R) and global film festival winners to cult favourites -- that can all be enjoyed in under 40 minutes.

"Movieola is to short films what MTV is to music," stated Romen Podzyhun, CEO, Channel Zero Inc. "We present great short films to a consumer audience that appreciates cutting-edge entertainment. We partnered with LP33.tv, because they deliver the same high-quality experience with music."

Movieola's audience will be able to tune in now over multiple media platforms and watch original music and music-themed video content created by LP33.tv musical artists and the company's top-notch production teams in both Los Angeles and London.

Weekly programs are hosted by LP33.tv's passionate team of in-house music experts who also act as video bloggers on the hot, new media-rich music site. LP33.tv also produces in-house the magazine shows featuring live performances, rockumentaries, chart shows, music videos and other content, as well as the best professional and semi-professional content produced by the bands themselves.

LP33.tv's founding team members were previously executives with top music industry brands, including EMI Music, MTV and Virgin Music Group. In addition, several of them are accomplished musicians. Of additional note, LP33.tv's original backers include members and management of legendary rock band Genesis.
