Broadcast Radio is Reenergized with Interactive Social Networking for Listeners

SEATTLE, Aug. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Emo-V, an interactive radio solutions company, today announced the launch of MyQuu, an industry first combining social networking and interactivity with broadcast radio by allowing listeners to easily purchase, listen, share and discuss their favorite music and bands using a cell phone or other device.

"We are taking the concepts of web interactivity and user community and bringing it to the radio world," stated Joe Harb, founder and CEO. "Quu brings a new element of convenience and fun to listeners -- they can now interact with each other as well as the radio stations themselves -- over material such as songs, artists, albums, ads, and contests, while stations are able to directly measure ad effectiveness, thereby boosting revenue."

Quu is available in three formats to fit different user preferences: a downloadable cell phone application, text messaging, and (to be released shortly) a stand-alone flash drive device that auto-detects the radio station being played.

Users are able to tag songs, advertisements, donation campaigns for later action such as purchase or add to a wish list, rate music and vote in polls and have it all published in MyQuu's social network. Using MyQuu's phone applications, users are also able to request a call back from the advertiser or an info-call to learn more about a specific advertisement.

As a social network, MyQuu allows users to share on the phone or online favorite songs, artists, radio stations and discover others' radio experience. Users can receive SMS alerts when favorite songs/artists are being aired and learn more about artists or radio personalities. Users also have the ability to integrate with other social networks such as Facebook and Twitter to share their interactive experience with the radio.

"We are incredibly excited about the unique interactive service for listeners while strengthening business offerings to advertisers by allowing users to view pictures and videos linked to the ads, while accurately measuring ad effectiveness," added Harb. This paradigm shift in radio advertising creates an opportunity for radio stations to better monetize their audience reach, and for advertisers to increase ad effectiveness and thereby revenue. Marc Kaye, VP/General Manager of Sandusky Radio Seattle, one of the early adopters of MyQuu, stated, "This is the solution we have been looking for since Edison."
