ED in 08 to Screen Film About America's Education Crisis for Young Education Professionals Surrounding The 25th Anniversary of A Nation At Risk

WASHINGTON, April 28 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Following the 25th anniversary of A Nation at Risk, Strong American Schools' ED in 08 will highlight the urgency of America's education crisis by screening the documentary, Two Million Minutes, for young education professionals at The George Washington University on Tuesday, April 29th, at 6:30 pm.

The documentary, Two Million Minutes, is produced by Broken Pencil Productions (BPP) and tracks students in the United States, India and China as they are completing their high school diplomas and competing for entrance into college. Two Million Minutes engages viewers by showing that the education systems in India and China have surpassed the Unites States by implementing several recommendations of the 1983 report, A Nation at Risk. The film also provides evidence that students in America are not prepared to compete in the global economy.
