Michael Waddell Inks Exclusive Multi-Year Endorsement Agreement With Outdoor Channel

Celebrity Sportsman Deepens His Relationship with Leading Outdoor Network

TEMECULA, Calif., Oct. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Outdoor Channel, America's Leader in Outdoor TV, announced today a new multi-year endorsement agreement with Michael Waddell, celebrity host of the network's hit shows Realtree Road Trips and Gander Mountain's We Live Outdoors. Waddell, one of the most successful hunting personalities in the outdoor entertainment industry, has signed on to promote Outdoor Channel exclusively in the outdoor television arena. Realtree Road Trips can be seen on Outdoor Channel on Sundays at 9 PM Eastern and Gander Mountain's We Live Outdoors on Sundays at 9 AM Eastern.

Under the terms of the deal, Waddell will do numerous public appearances on behalf of the network and be featured in marketing campaigns on multiple platforms.

A Georgia native, Waddell spent his childhood hunting with his father and grandfather in the fields near his home. While working as a technician in his early twenties, Waddell began participating in turkey calling competitions as a hobby while continuing to hunt and hone his calling skills. After winning several contests, buzz started to build and notoriety soon followed, catching the attention of Bill Jordan, owner of the successful Realtree line of camouflage and hunting apparel.

Waddell accepted a position on the production team of Realtree's hunting videos, working both behind and in front of the camera. While working with Realtree, he developed the idea of a new hunting show that was as much about the lifestyle as it was the activity itself. The show, called Realtree Road Trips, debuted on Outdoor Channel several years ago, launching Waddell into the spotlight.
