John Sullivan Joins QVC as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer; Rob Cochran Assumes Newly Created Role of Chief IT Technical Officer
WEST CHESTER, Pa., Oct. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- QVC, Inc. announced today a change in its Information Technology (IT) organization that combines a new leader's operational background and vision for the future with a QVC veteran's considerable knowledge and experience.

John Sullivan has joined the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer. In his new role at QVC, Sullivan will oversee all aspects of QVC's Information Technology department, including Applications Development, Technology, Production Services and Telecommunications. He is also responsible for the strategic use of technology and information within the organization to increase revenues, reduce costs and improve efficiencies.
Prior to joining QVC, Sullivan spent 11 years with Liz Claiborne, Inc. where he most recently served as Senior Vice President of Sourcing, Service, Systems/Chief Information Officer. He began his career there as Vice President of Information Systems & Customer Service and progressed into various leadership positions. Prior to Liz Claiborne, Sullivan held various IT leadership positions at Goody's Family Clothing, Ames Department Stores, Johnson & Associates and Knapp Shoes.
"John's broad operational experience and his outstanding leadership skills will be very valuable to QVC's IT team as we continue to build our organization in support of QVC's core business," said Meade Rudasill, QVC's Chief Operating Officer to whom Sullivan will report.
The CIO position was previously held by Rob Cochran who assumes a newly created position of Chief IT Technical Officer. As QVC moves into the future, the removal of legacy systems and the introduction of new mobile technologies and applications development becomes critical. In this role, Cochran will lead that technology aspect of the company's IT infrastructure team. Cochran has been with QVC since 1987.
