"Andrea is a great asset to Comcast's Human Resources team, and she will play a key role in helping Comcast continue to achieve a workforce that reflects the communities we serve," said Charisse Lillie, Comcast Cable Senior Vice President of Human Resources. "Her collaborative and engaging business philosophy, as well as her recruiting experience, has helped position Comcast as a diversity employer of choice in the greater Philadelphia area."
Agnew joined Comcast in April 2006 as a Manager of Recruiting and Career Development for Comcast Corporate, where she was responsible for recruiting initiatives. "Andrea Agnew is a delightful and energetic professional who is very deserving of this opportunity," said Patricia A. Coulter, Urban League of Philadelphia President and CEO. "Her leadership potential became very visible as she participated in the Urban Leadership Forum, a professional development program for African American professionals, and I'm confident she will be incredibly successful in her new role."
Prior to joining Comcast, Agnew served as Corporate Diversity Recruiting Manager with Booz Allen Hamilton. She is an active volunteer with Philadelphia Special Olympics, Philadelphia Cares and Teens at Risk, and she has also helped to coordinate the Working Women's Wardrobe Annual Coat Drive and the literacy efforts of two Camden County domestic abuse shelters.
Comcast's overall commitment to diversity is focused in four key areas: attracting and retaining a multicultural workforce, developing a diverse supplier group, offering a wide selection of multicultural programming and pledging significant community investments.
