Lifetime Networks Names Jeffrey Schneider as Senior Vice President, Business Affairs/Deputy General Counsel
NEW YORK, Oct. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Lifetime Networks has named Jeffrey Schneider, whose diverse experience has included leading management positions in broadcast, cable and entertainment law, as Senior Vice President, Business Affairs/Deputy General Counsel, it was announced today by Pat Langer, Executive Vice President, Legal, Business Affairs and Human Resources.
Schneider, who most recently was Senior Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs for Fox Television Studios, will be based in Lifetime's Los Angeles office.
In his new role, he will oversee all business affairs for Lifetime's programming, including scripted series, alternative/reality series, made-for-television movies and digital. He will work closely with Susanne Daniels, Lifetime's President of Entertainment, and Linda Rein, SVP, Business Affairs and General Counsel.

Prior to joining Fox, Schneider was the Senior Vice President of Business Affairs and Deputy General Counsel for MTV from 2003 to 2007. In this position, he was in charge of all day-to-day legal and business matters for the Network's west coast operations, including program development, production, acquisitions and distribution.
Before that, Schneider was at the law firm of Katz, Golden & Sullivan from September 2000 to April 2003, where he represented talent, producers, writers, directors and production companies in motion pictures, television, new media and publishing.
From 1994 through 2000, Schneider worked at Paramount Network Television. He began his legal career in 1991 as a Law Clerk to the Chief U.S. District Court Judge for the District of Nevada, the Hon. Edward C. Reed, Jr.
Schneider holds a J.D. from the University of Southern California (1991, with honors), as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from UCLA (1987, cum laude). He is the author of Unsportsmanlike Conduct: The Lack of Free Agency in the NFL [64 S. Cal. L. Rev. 797 (1991)]. He is currently an Adjunct Professor of Law at Pepperdine University Law School.
