No Pain - No Radiation
PASADENA, Calif., Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- In honor of National Breast Health Awareness Month, Huntington Hospital will offer a free SonoCine exam to a local TV news reporter to be performed on the air. SonoCine is an investigational breast cancer screening method developed by Huntington Hospital radiologist Kevin Kelly, MD, utilizing 3D ultrasound technology to supplement mammography in women with dense breasts or at high risk for breast cancer. Currently pending FDA approval, SonoCine is part of a multi-center clinical trial. In traditional mammography, four images of the breast are seen, compared to greater than 2,000 images on a SonoCine exam.
