The Cable Center and the Silicon Flatirons Program Present 'The Rise of the Cable Industry and its Future'

Seminar Features Three Thought-Provoking Panel Discussions Featuring Industry Leaders Including Clay Whitehead, Julian Brodsky, Ken Lowe and Michael Fuchs

DENVER, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- The Cable Center, in partnership with the University of Colorado's Silicon Flatirons Telecommunications Program and Denver Telecom Professionals, will present "The Rise of the Cable Industry and its Future" Oct. 18 at 3 p.m.

The seminar consists of three panel discussions: The Early Regulatory Battles and the Search for a Business Model; The Rise of Cable Programming Networks; and Learning from the Past and Reflecting on the Industry's Future. Two panels will be moderated by Professor Phil Weiser, executive director, CU's Silicon Flatirons Telecommunications Program and the third (The Rise of Cable Programming Networks) will be moderated by Susan Greene, The Cable Center's senior vice president, Programs and Education.

The seminar is part of Colorado Tech Week (www.coloradotechweek.com) and takes place at The Cable Center. Cost is $50 for the public, $25 for CU alumni, Federal Communications Bar Association members and Denver Telecom Professionals. Silicon Flatirons Telecommunications Program supporters, students/faculty/staff and members of the media may attend free of charge.
