Penthouse Magazine Interviews Funny-Man and 'Insomniac' Star Dave Attell

Penthouse Magazine Interviews Funny-Man and 'Insomniac' Star Dave Attell

BOCA RATON, Fla., Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Comedian Dave Attell is living the rock-star life at 40, but for this native New Yorker, life hasn't always been a smooth ride on a Comedy Central "Insomniac" tour bus. "I was a shy, morose, self-hating child. Now, I'm still all of those, but thanks to alcohol and cable TV, I've come out of my shell." So, what's the downside to being a famous cable TV, chain-smoking barfly? "People buy me drinks and when you don't drink every drink that's bought for you, they feel cheated -- but, I have a liver and I only have one. I don't have a special comedy liver!" Attell, who admits to resembling Andre Agassi "gone to seed," has a fierce following and a global fan base; yet, the nightlife travelogue star prefers a dark, dingy corner pub to the red carpet any day. The acclaimed comic also prefers Penthouse to Playboy and being recognized for his stand-up, not his televised alcoholism. This is witty dialogue with celebrity interviewer Chaunce Hayden that shouldn't be missed.

CELEBRITY NUDES: Catherine Zeta Jones, Susan Sarandon and Claire Danes have all exposed themselves on film and in the name of art. In November's issue, Mr. Skin -- the foremost authority on celebrity nudity -- exposes a thing or two himself. Namely, the stills and titles of the cinematic celluloids in which these leading ladies bared more than their souls.

THE GAME IS ON: After a 310-day lockout that cancelled the 2004-05 season, the NHL is finally back! In a tribute to the league's past, present and future, Penthouse lists the top 5 players in NHL history and the future 5 superstars destined to be the next best skate greats.

SOUND BITES: Sum 41 front man Deryck Whibley picks 11 of his all-time favorite songs. Strangely enough, none of fiancee Avril Lavigne's music makes the cut. Also, Goo Goo Dolls bassist Robby Takac lays claim to his PEZ candy addiction and collection, "PEZ is the crack of sugar. I think the only further you can go than that is rock candy." Takac owns roughly 1,300 of the dispensers, including the original Popeye and the original Casper The Friendly Ghost. Hmmm, do you think Robby surfs eBay much? Towers Of London -- is this British import band comprised of pretty boys, posers or wankers? If you ask their fans, they're none of the above. They sound like the Sex Pistols, they curse like sailors, they "party like it's 1999" and they fight like Guns N' Roses. Hairspray and lip-liner aside, they are bringing another wave of U.K. anarchy "across the pond" and the U.S. is digging these nasty boys.

TOP 10 REASONS TO MASTURBATE: Stressed, depressed, angry or overweight? Victoria Zdrok, Ph.D. and former Penthouse Pet of the Year 2004, gives readers a prescription for self-love. Find out what the health benefits are to this otherwise personal pastime.
