HAMBURG, Germany, September 27/PRNewswire/ -- arvato mobile, a wholly-owned division of arvato AG, today announced the successful acquisition of Movota Ltd, a UK-based company with international focus. Movota offers unique patent-pending technologies for mass TV and Radio audience participation using ordinary mobile phones - technologies that have already been used successfully in a number of prime-time television shows.

Today's dominating forms of participation -- fixed line telephony and SMS -- will be supplemented by far richer interactivity using WAP and JAVA-based solutions, in conjunction with Internet Protocol data connections. The mobile phone is the ideal response mechanism for interactive solutions, allowing direct mass audience participation for quiz shows, opinion polls and various gaming formats as well as mobile-only content offerings.
