Listeners of 'The Glenn Beck Program' Come Together to Raise Money for Hurricane Victims
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Thanks to the generous and empowered listeners of the nationally syndicated "Glenn Beck Program," Mr. Beck will open his radio show this morning by announcing the launch of a charity auction to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina via the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. It will begin at 9 a.m. EDT today and close on Sept. 20 at 3 p.m. EDT. Bidders may go to www.GlennBeck.com where they will be linked to www.CharityFolks.com the organization that will be conducting the auction, collecting the monies raised, and acting as the intermediary between the donors and the American Red Cross.
"After the hurricane, I heard from so many of my listeners who wanted to help," said Mr. Beck. "Upon reading their emails and talking to many of them, the idea to do a charity auction naturally evolved."
