Senator John McCain to Speak at Alistair Cooke Memorial Lecture
BOSTON, July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Senator John McCain will deliver the Alistair Cooke Memorial Lecture at the English Speaking Union in London on Monday, July 4. The lecture is a tribute to the beloved broadcaster and longtime MASTERPIECE THEATRE host who died last year.
"As Alistair did so eloquently in his Letter from America, Senator McCain can explain this country to the rest of the world," commented MASTERPIECE THEATRE executive producer Rebecca Eaton.
In his lecture, which can be heard live on Monday, July 4 at 3pm ET on http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4, Senator McCain will discuss the unique relationship between the United States and the British.
