Showtime's Landmark Series 'Queer As Folk' Says Farewell on August 7th at 10:00 p.m.

New Date Will Lead into WEEDS at 11:00 p.m.

NEW YORK, June 27 /PRNewswire/ -- What: QUEER AS FOLK, one of televisions bravest and most influential shows and SHOWTIME's highest rated original series will ends its fifth and final season on August 7th at 10:00 pm ET/PT. The one-hour series finale will end the show as radically as it began five years ago, when it made history as the only dramatic series to portray a gay community and tackle important, relevant gay issues.

The final hour-long episode will lead into the highly-anticipated new comedy series WEEDS, introducing the new series to this loyal fan base. WEEDS stars Mary-Louise Parker as a suburban mom who resorts to selling weed to support her family after her husband unexpectedly dies. The series also stars Elizabeth Perkins and Kevin Nealon.
