Spanish Broadcasting System Scores Triple Play at Radio and Records Awards
CLEVELAND, June 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Spanish Broadcasting System, Inc. (NASDAQ:SBSA) stations and personnel won three major awards at the annual Radio & Records convention being held this week in Cleveland, Ohio.
WSKQ/New York "Mega 97.9" was named Spanish Radio Station of the Year. Mega Program Director George Mier won Spanish Program Director of the Year, and veteran KLAX/Los Angeles radio personality Renan Almendarez Coello - El Cucuy de la Manana (The Morning Boogeyman) -- was honored as one of two Spanish Radio Air Personalities of the Year.
Mega 97.9 is the top-ranked Spanish language radio station in the United States, according to Arbitron Radio Ratings.

The awards are the results of voting by subscribers to Radio and Records magazine, a trade publication for the radio and music industries.
