CARSON CITY, Nev., June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- QuikDrop International announced today that it will be at the Long Beach Convention Center in California on Saturday, July 2 to participate in the filming of Discovery Channel's new television show, POP NATION: AMERICA'S COOLEST STUFF. The public is invited to bring American pop-culture items to this event to get a professional, free appraisal. Some attendees will get a chance to put their items up for auction on eBay and be on national television.

POP NATION: AMERICA'S COOLEST STUFF is a television event that combines America's fascination with collecting pop memorabilia and selling it at online auctions. The new primetime series, which will premiere on Discovery Channel on Saturday, October 1 at 8 PM (ET/PT), focuses on one of the fastest-growing segments of the collecting craze: U.S. pop culture items from the 1960s to today.

Only items from the 1960s to today will be freely appraised. Participants can bring a maximum of three items with them to the event, but must be able to carry them into the convention center. Only one item will get an appraisal. Examples of items that may qualify include: TV memorabilia, toys, movie memorabilia, vintage clothing, sports memorabilia, and items around the house such as appliances, dishes, tools, portable furniture, lamps, print collectibles and clocks.

Stories will unfold throughout each episode as collectors, appraisers and QuikDrop experts ask themselves, "What is it? What's it worth? How badly do I want it? Or do I really want to sell it?" Owners of the items have three options after the appraisal: they can sell the item for cash, sell it online or they can keep the item. At the end of each episode viewers will find out which items will go to an eBay auction coordinated by QuikDrop.
