FOX 2 Presents Detroit's Mayoral Candidates in a Live Debate, June 30, 6 - 7:30 p.m.

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- WJBK FOX 2, the Council of Baptist Pastors and The Baptist Times are working together to give Detroiters a chance -- their first chance -- to hear from all of the mayoral candidates on the important issues facing the city of Detroit in a live, televised debate Thursday, June 30, 2005, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at FOX 2's studios. The debate will be simulcast on Newsradio 950 WWJ.

Hosted by FOX 2 anchors Huel Perkins and Fanchon Stinger, current Mayor Kwame M. Kilpatrick, and candidates Sharon McPhail (Detroit City Council member), Freman Hendrix (former Archer administration deputy mayor) and Hansen Clarke (Michigan State Senator) will come together on June 30, in front of a studio audience, to present their respective platforms and plans for a city in which everyone in the FOX 2 viewing area has a vested interest.

All Detroit media is invited to attend.
