Comcast Launches EWTN and EWTN Espanol in Southern California

** Launch Accelerated to Allow Customers Access to Papal Ceremonies **

LOS ANGELES, April 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Comcast, the country's leading provider of cable, entertainment and communications products and services, today announces the launch of EWTN and EWTN Espanol in southern California. The launch, originally slated for June 2005, was accelerated to accommodate the public's high interest in the papal ceremonies this week.

EWTN Global Catholic Network, the world's largest Catholic network, will provide 24-hour coverage of this week's historic funeral of Pope John Paul II, as well as live broadcasts of the events surrounding the conclave and the election of a new Pope. EWTN's regular daily lineup features programming in both English and Spanish of instructional series with noted theologians, thought-provoking documentaries, exciting call-in talk shows, children's series and animated specials, live church events, and inspiring devotionals.
