Telly Savalas in His Emmy and Golden Globe(R) Award-Winning Role Arrives on DVD for the First Time March 22, 2005 From Universal Studios Home Entertainment

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., March 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Who loves ya, baby? Universal Studios Home Entertainment, of course, that's why we're releasing the Golden Globe(R)-winner for Best Television Series Drama, "KOJAK: SEASON ONE," on DVD. This beloved police drama, starring Telly Savalas as lollipop-sucking sleuth Lt. Theo Kojak, makes its DVD debut on March 22, 2005. The DVD features the first 22 exciting episodes of the Top-10 rated series about a brash, stylish and streetwise detective who battles bad guys on the gritty streets of 1970s New York. Savalas won two Golden Globes(R) and an Emmy award for his unforgettable portrayal of the tough, wisecracking but compassionate cop. The multiple Emmy-nominated hit, which People magazine dubbed "a TV classic: slick, well-plotted and entertaining," also features memorable guest appearances by Harvey Keitel, James Woods, John Ritter, Hector Elizondo and Dabney Coleman.

Additionally, on Friday, March 25, 2005, the "Kojak" legacy continues with USA Network's premiere of the fresh, new "Kojak" series, starring Golden Globe(R)-winner Ving Rhames in the title role. Chazz Palminteri and Roselyn Sanchez also star.

The re-mastered, three-disc DVD set of "KOJAK: SEASON ONE" starring the original Kojak, Telly Savalas, is priced to own at $39.98.
