Gentle Giant Mark 35th Anniversary With Release of Remastered Catalog Featuring Unreleased Material

NEW YORK, March 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Iconic progressive rock band Gentle Giant will mark the 35th anniversary of their formation with the release of seven of their albums, all re-mastered and re-packaged in a special 35th anniversary edition and containing previously unreleased material. The first two releases scheduled are Free Hand and In A Glass House, both due in-stores May 10.

Gentle Giant, formed in the U.K. in 1970 by brothers Derek, Ray and Phil Shulman, have sold over 3 million albums in North America alone beginning with their self-titled debut released in 1970. Free Hand, originally released in 1975, is considered Gentle Giant's most commercial album. The 35th anniversary edition will contain the previously unreleased live version of "Just The Same." One of the band's most popular albums, but never before available in the U.S., In A Glass House (1973), will feature the bonus live track, "Experience."

The rest of 2005 will bring the re-releases of The Power and the Glory (1974), Interview (1976), Giant for a Day (1978), The Missing Piece (1977) and Playing The Fool (1977), a double live album. A Gentle Giant anthology and a DVD of concert footage shot across Europe in 1974, as well as an interview from Italian TV, are also scheduled for a December release.
