Burlingame High School Announces Twenty-Fourth Annual Taste of the Town Fundraiser BURLINGAME, Calif., Jan. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Burlingame High School today announced its 24th annual Taste of the Town fundraiser will take place on Sunday, February 27, 2005 from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the San Francisco Airport Marriott hotel. In addition to samplings from thirty-six restaurants and beverage purveyors, the afternoon will feature a silent auction, live entertainment and a raffle. Taste of the Town is the public high school's biggest fundraiser, netting almost $100,000 in 2004, all of which goes directly to the classroom to enhance academic programs. "It is our pleasure to donate the use of the San Francisco Airport Marriott hotel for the 20th consecutive year," said Stan Moore, the hotel's general manager. "Taste of the Town is not only a worthwhile event, raising much-needed funds for the local public high school, it's also a lot of fun. With live music, great food, great people and a wide variety of quality beverages, it's the kind of event that we're proud to host."
