Bresnan Communications and Starz Entertainment Group Extend Sales and Marketing Affiliation Agreement Deal Leverages STARZ! & Encore Premium Movie Channels to Drive Bresnan Digital Cable Calls for Launches of Starz On Demand, STARZ! HD & STARZ! Kids PURCHASE, N.Y. and ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Nov. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Bresnan Communications (Bresnan) and Starz Entertainment Group LLC (SEG) announced a broad, new affiliation agreement that will enable Bresnan to continue to carry the SEG movie channels long-term and more aggressively market the premier movie channels to all of the Bresnan Digital Cable customers. As part of the agreement, the companies have agreed to launch STARZ! HD and Starz On Demand in markets where advanced video services are launched. Starz On Demand is SEG's subscription-based VOD service, offering over 100 movies per month as part of the monthly subscription to STARZ!. STARZ! Kids is also set to launch and be included as part of the monthly STARZ! service in all Bresnan systems. Bresnan will take the Encore Movie Pak -- including Encore, Action, Mystery, Westerns, Love Stories, True Stories and WAM! -- and use the commercial-free, family-friendly movie product as a driver for selling Bresnan Digital Cable. Bresnan Digital Classic, including the Encore Movie Pak, 39 digital basic channels, a digital set-top and remote, retails for $56.99 plus taxes and franchise fees (pricing may vary in certain markets).
