Welcome to the 8th Annual Crystal Dove Seal Awards

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Feb. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- For the past quarter century, The Dove Foundation has provided up-to-date information and reviews of thousands of movies based on their family-friendly criteria at www.dove.org. In 2008, the Foundation created the CRYSTAL DOVE SEAL AWARD to recognize the best Dove-approved films from the previous year, as determined by popular vote by movie-goers.

The Dove Foundation staff nominated the 50 highest rated Dove-approved movies from 2015. The nominees are sorted into five categories - ACTION, ADVENTURE, ANIMATED, DOCUMENTARY, and DRAMA and posted where consumers can vote for their favorite film in each category online at http://www.dove.org/crystal-dove-seal-award-2015/

According to Dick Rolfe, Dove Foundation co-founder and CEO, "Most movie awards are chosen by peers, or by paid movie critics, not values-conscious consumers. By casting a ballot for the Best Dove Approved Movies of 2015, voters are united by a set of common traits; they are enthusiastic movie-goers who look for quality motion pictures that are inspirational and aspirational, that entertain without offending."

Major movie studios and independent filmmakers value the CRYSTAL DOVE SEAL. Dove's job is to present consumer preferences to studio executives and producers. The result is that Hollywood will produce more movies that reflect their values.

This year's nominees come from the major studios and a large number of independents. Religious-themed films are well represented this year. Over 1/3 of the top Dove-approved titles for 2015 (18 of 50 titles) are stories of faith.

Deadline for voting is Monday, February 29(th) at Midnight Pacific Time. Only one vote per email address will be counted. Everyone who votes will receive the results on March 1, 2016.
