"Bitcoin Girl" YouTube Music Video Changes Bad Bitcoin Attitudes

New YouTube Video Uses Humor to Educate Viewers About Cryptocurrencies

NEW YORK, July 15, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today the Moving Picture Institute (MPI) released a YouTube video spoof of Billy Joel's "Uptown Girl" that educates audiences about the benefits of digital currencies. The video is a love story, a comedy, and an entry point into the cryptocurrency world for Bitcoin novices, experts, and everyone in-between.

Starring and directed by Naomi Brockwell -- a fellow at the NY Bitcoin Center and MPI program officer -- the video aims to change the negative image of Bitcoin portrayed by the mainstream media.
