Called "The premier global networking event for the Ugandan Diaspora", the largest such convention in the world is attended by more than 3,000 Ugandan Americans and Friends. The program includes meetings, discussion groups, forums on various topics affecting Uganda and the Ugandan Diaspora; such as the Trade & Investment Forum, Technology Forum, Political Forum, as well as forum on Intergenerational relationships between immigrants and their children born in the Diaspora, etc.

The convention kicks off with the Trade and Investment forum on Friday, August 29(th) 2014. The next day Saturday will feature several topical seminars leading into a Keynote luncheon. The other highlight on Saturday evening will feature the return of the UNAA Dinner cruise, a popular culinary event complete with a dance to both live performances by popular artists and DJ music - aboard a magnificent marine vessel sailing into the spectacular San Diego harbor sunset.

The final day of the Convention, Sunday August 31(st) starts with worship followed by topical meetings and seminars setting the ground for the epic formal dress Gala Dinner; during which the proceeds from a Fashion Show Auction will go towards the 2014 Emerging Leaders Scholarship Program. Founded in 1988, UNAA is the largest and oldest Ugandan diaspora association in the world; stimulating and encouraging acquaintance and fellowship among members. The Annual convention and trade exposition held in different cities in North America during each Labor Day weekend brings together members and creates a platform on which they can network, share, experience and showcase Uganda's rich cultural heritage and the abundant opportunities of their new homes on the continent; bringing together leading voices in business, government, academia, technology, health and other professions from Uganda and the Ugandan diaspora.
