Republic Records Promotes Joseph Carozza To Senior Vice President, Media Relations
NEW YORK, June 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Republic Records is proud to announce the promotion of Joseph Carozza to Senior Vice President, Media Relations. This announcement was made today by Co-Founder and Chief Executive Monte Lipman and Executive Vice President Charlie Walk.
Since joining the label in 2013, Mr. Carozza has managed PR efforts for the label's tent-pole artists and developed communications strategies for upcoming talent. He has been instrumental in Ariana Grande's triumphant debut, capitalizing on her fame as an actress and developing her presence as an artist in the music space. He has handled successful campaigns for Enrique Iglesias and Tiesto as well as contributed to breaking Lorde and Martin Garrix, among others.
Mr. Lipman comments, "Joe is one of the most buttoned-down young executives that I've ever worked with; his focus, determination, and impeccable style are unmatched. In addition, his impressive performance continues to gain the trust and respect of the artists, his colleagues at Republic, and the PR community at large."
Mr. Walk adds, "Joe Carozza brings his highly sophisticated approach to 'music media marketing' to Republic. Every artist has his or her own unique story. Joe, along with his handpicked team, are able to tell that narrative so it sticks in the most elegant, honest fashion. His redesign of the media team now allows us to compete at the highest level."
Carozza says, "This is an incredible opportunity for which I'm excited and grateful. I want to thank Monte, Avery and Charlie for their support and guidance. Republic remains known for uncovering the superstars of today and setting the pace for the industry. I'm beyond thrilled to continue building our roster's media presence as well as fortifying the Republic legacy for the history books!"
Mr. Carozza was previously at Sony Music's Epic Records where he worked on campaigns for a diverse group of artists including Ozzy Osbourne, Sade, The Fray, Karmin, and Sean Kingston. Prior to joining Epic, he was with Rogers & Cowan where he provided media relations for legendary artists such as The Rolling Stones, Elton John and Motley Crue. Simultaneously, he worked entertainment branding and press for clients like Luxottica, Honda Civic, The GRAMMYs, and The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
