Screenvision Strengthens Midwest Footprint With New Long-Term Agreement With Wehrenberg Theatres
NEW YORK, Jan. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Screenvision, a leading innovator in cinema advertising and alternative content programming, has signed a new long-term agreement with one of its key exhibitor partners, Wehrenberg Theatres, America's oldest family-owned and -operated movie theatre circuit. Wehrenberg Theatres celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2006.
Headquartered in St. Louis, Wehrenberg has 15 theatres with 210 screens in Missouri, Illinois, Minnesota and Iowa, with nine locations and 131 screens in the St. Louis DMA, the nation's 21st largest market. Wehrenberg's flagship location is St. Louis' Ronnies 20 Cine. This distinctive location includes an indoor drive-in theatre concept in the lobby, as the theatre was built on the site of a former Wehrenberg drive-in theatre which first opened for business in 1948.
Screenvision and Wehrenberg Theatres have been partners for over 20 years. Under the terms of the renewed deal, Screenvision will continue to have the exclusive right to sell the on-screen advertising digital pre-show and the non-exclusive right to sell promotions. With the signing of the new long-term Wehrenberg deal, Screenvision's top exhibitor partners are secured for an average term of 14 years. Screenvision's national footprint includes over 14,900 screens.
