Jan Korbelin and Marina Grasic File Cross Complaint Against Bill Block, James Patterson in Tyler Perry Film

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Today,attorneys for Jan Korbelin and Marina Grasic of Visitor Pictures, LLC filed a cross-complaint in Los Angeles County Superior Court against Bill Block's and James Patterson's companies for damages arising out of Korbelin's and Grasic's work on the motion picture I, Alex Cross, starring Tyler Perry, scheduled for release in 2012.

According to Mr. Korbelin, "After a long relationship with Mr. Block and Mr. Patterson, as well as senior members of their respective staff, we are saddened that this project has taken this turn. After having previously worked on four films with Mr. Block, our hope was to handle this dispute outside of the courtroom. When Mr. Patterson and Mr. Block filed their preemptive lawsuit against us, while pretending to actively engage us in conversations to resolve these issues, we realized that we had little choice but to set the facts straight and protect our legitimate interests in the project."
