Entravision Communications Corporation Sees Ratings Success from 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup Finale
Entravision's Television Stations in Washington D.C., Las Vegas & Tampa among Markets with Increase in TV Household Ratings
SANTA MONICA, Calif., June 30, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --Entravision Communications Corporation (NYSE: EVC) today announced the CONCACAF Gold Cup final match produced significant ratings on stations located in several of its Nielsen metered and local people metered (LPM) markets. The match, which featured the United States and Mexico, aired across Entravision's Univision properties on June 25, 2011 from 9:00-11:00 p.m. ET.
The final match achieved record ratings for a Gold Cup final in Nielsen metered markets where Entravision operates. Among TV Households, KINC-TV Las Vegas hit new highs for the final with a 7.4 rating, up 57% over 2009, and was the leader in its time period among all broadcast stations, regardless of language. In Washington, D.C., WFDC-TV recorded a 3.9 rating (a 129% increase over 2009) and was also the leader in the time period among all broadcast stations regardless of language. Other markets with notable high ratings include San Diego (KBNT-TV) with a 4.7; Denver (KCEC-TV) with a 3.3 rating; and Tampa (WVEA-TV) with a 100% ratings increase to 3.0.

Record-setting ratings were achieved in the five LPM markets among important demographics as well. In Denver, Orlando, Tampa and Washington, D.C., the match was the highest rated program in its time period among all broadcast stations, regardless of language, in Adults and Males 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.
WFDC-TV Washington D.C. led the Entravision market ratings with a 7.7 among Men 18-34, a 6.6 in Men 18-49, a 5.9 in Persons 18-34 and a 5.3 in Persons 18-49.
Among the markets with highest ratings increase over the 2009 final match was WVEA-TV in Tampa, with a growth of 322% in Persons 18-49 to 3.8 and an increase of 273% to a 4.1 rating among Men 18-49. Additionally, WVEN-TV in Orlando experienced never-before-seen ratings for the Gold Cup final in the Adult and Male demographics tracked, including a 100% increase among Persons 18-34 to 2.4 and an increase of 169% among Men 18-34 to 3.5.
Similar to the other markets, Denver experienced ratings three to five times higher than the next highest station in the time period. Among Adults 18-34, KCEC-TV's 4.7 rating was nearly five times higher than a local English-language competitor and its 1.0 rating, the next highest after the Gold Cup. Among Men 18-34, KCEC-TV and its 4.4 rating is 3.4 times higher than the next highest competitor.
Entravision aired a total of 17 CONCACAF Gold Cup matches across its Univision and TeleFutura affiliated stations from June 5-25, 2011. In July, Entravision will be airing the Copa America tournament live from Argentina also on its Univision and TeleFutura affiliated stations beginning Friday, July 1st and culminating with the final match on Sunday, July 24th.
