Comcast Launches Galavision in Greater Philadelphia and New Jersey

Galavision's Spanish-Language Content and Exclusive 2010 FIFA World Cup(TM) Coverage Adds to Comcast's Expanding Multicultural Programming

PHILADELPHIA, June 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Comcast continues to expand programming for its Hispanic customers in greater Philadelphia and New Jersey with the launch of Galavision, the country's leading Spanish-language cable network. Galavision is now available to customers on Comcast Digital Classic channel 567. With this launch, customers will now have access to all of Galavision's content, including exclusive coverage of the 2010 FIFA World Cup(TM) and hundreds of hours of additional coverage.

This summer, Univision's networks will be transformed into the U.S. FIFA World Cup(TM) destination, leveraging its market-leading assets - Univision, TeleFutura, Galavision, Univision.com, Univision Movil, and Univision On Demand - to deliver a one-of-a-kind experience for its audiences. Univision's exclusive Spanish-language coverage of FIFA World Cup(TM) will begin airing live on Friday, June 11, at 8 a.m. Eastern / 7 a.m. Central / 5 a.m. Pacific. Comcast offers greater Philadelphia and New Jersey customers Hispanic programming packages that deliver a selection of channels including Cine Latino, CNN Espanol, Discovery Espanol, ESPN Deportes and more.
