Chicago Online Film Contest Awards $50,000 for Stories Bridging Faith & Cultural Gap
One Chicago, One Nation will release its Online Film
Contest winners during citywide celebrations of Inner-
City Muslim Action Network's Streets 2010: Urban
WHAT: International Festival.
Award winners will be announced at the Jay Pritzker
Pavilion in Millennium Park during "Dandana: A Celebration
of Muslim Voices".
The Online Film Contest grand prize winner will be awarded
$20,000 and each of the six film category winners receives
$5,000, totaling $50,000 in prizes.
Streets 2010: Urban International Festival
(www.streets2010.com) provides an ideal venue for
recognizing the One Chicago, One Nation Online Film
Contest winners, while underscoring its vision to break
down barriers and encourage interfaith and intercultural
collaboration using a panoramic approach that melds film,
music and conversation to engage diverse neighbors.
Finalists' films will be featured during Streets 2010 Film
Festival, held at The University of Chicago, June 13-16,
www.streets2010.com and can be viewed online at (except
for Mobile Digital Media) www.linktv.org/onechicago.
The Online Film Contest was open for individuals throughout
the country to share stories based in or about Chicago
that demonstrated diverse individuals or groups working
WHO: together in their communities toward a common goal.
Judges included: Harry Belafonte, Bill Kurtis, Azhar Usman,
Krista Tippett, Greg M. Epstein, Dr. Aminah McCloud, Skye
Jethani, Rabbi Caper C. Funnye, Jr., Steve Edwards and
Gordon Quinn.
