BURBANK, Calif., May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Miley Cyrus' single "Can't Be Tamed" quickly took the # 1 spot on iTunes' singles chart, when it became available on May 18. The # 1 debut followed Miley's stellar performance on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" on Tuesday night.

The single debuted April 30 on MySpace Music, and instantly became the biggest premiere of 2010. On Top 40 radio stations, "Can't Be Tamed" was the # 1 most added single in its first week, with more than 100 stations now playing the single. The worldwide premiere of Miley's "Can't Be Tamed" video on E! News May 4 garnered impressive ratings on television and at E!Online.com. It also reached # 1 on MySpace and Vevo.

"Can't Be Tamed" is a self-empowering song in which Miley asserts that she has to stay true to herself in relationships, and is already becoming an anthem among her legions of fans around the world. The album, also entitled "Can't Be Tamed," will be released June 22 worldwide on Hollywood Records. "Can't Be Tamed" was co-written by Miley and long-time collaborators/producers Tim James and Antonina Armato ("Seven Things" and "See You Again.")

Miley is the best-selling author of Miles To Go, which shares her inspiring story, spanning from her Southern roots in Tennessee to the excitement of her record-setting triumphs in TV, music and film. In addition, Miley Cyrus and designer Max Azria of apparel house BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP, Inc. have teamed up to create Miley Cyrus & Max Azria, a new apparel line exclusive to Wal-Mart.

Miley recently partnered with Youth Service America and found Get Ur Good On (www.GETURGOODON.org), an online network of youth supporting each other in their mission to do "good" in their communities. She is also involved with numerous charities including City of Hope, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and American Red Cross, among others.
