Hot Studio Helps Expand the Reach of Independent TV Programming

SAN FRANCISCO, May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Hot Studio, a people-centered experience design company, played a key role in designing the Independent Television Service's new website, which launched earlier this month.

Through two months of close collaboration, Hot Studio and ITVS, along with technical partner Carbon Five, created ways of better serving the publicly funded corporation's broad constituency, which includes independent film producers, educators, community organizers, station programmers, and the public at large.

"Our goal is to deliver rich programming that takes creative risks," said Sally Jo Fifer, president of ITVS. With Hot's help, we've created an immersive website that easily allows people to connect and share ITVS films."

The new website (www.itvs.org) allows the general public to search for films and video based on topic, or to find local show times by zip code. Independent producers can use the site to learn about funding initiatives and apply for funding, and station programmers can find content to fit their specific needs.
