Cerelink to Host Gala and VIP Screening of Shrek Forever After on May 23, 2010

CORRALES, N.M., May 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Cerelink, Inc., a New Mexico Cloud Computing company, has collaborated with DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. (NASDAQ:DWA) to provide more than 2 million rendering hours in the production of the studio's film, Shrek Forever After, which is released nationwide today, May 21, 2010.

In celebration of this significant milestone in the strategic alliance between Cerelink and DreamWorks Animation, a news conference, gala event and VIP screening of Shrek Forever After is planned for May 23, 2010. Ed Leonard, DreamWorks Animation's Chief Technology Officer, will be in attendance and will speak about the technology involved in the making of Shrek Forever After, including the contribution of the Cerelink cloud-computing model in the production of the movie.

"Cerelink offers a number of unique advantages for high-end CG animation companies like DreamWorks Animation, and we are thrilled to see a successful conclusion to our collaboration on Shrek Forever After as we celebrate the film's opening weekend together in Albuquerque this Sunday," commented DreamWorks Animation's Ed Leonard.

A news conference with Mr. Leonard and the Cerelink team will be held at 8:30 am. MDT at the Hotel Andaluz at 125 Second Street NW. The invitation-only gala will begin with an 8:45 a.m. MDT brunch at the Hotel Andaluz. A 3D screening of Shrek Forever After will then be held at 10:15 a.m. MDT at the Century 14 Theater at 100 Central Avenue SW.

"We are grateful for the extraordinary public-private collaboration that resulted in the success of our remote-computing model and couldn't be more proud of our technical contributions to DreamWorks Animation's Shrek Forever After," said Cerelink CEO James Ellington.

Cerelink's cloud-computing model was used to remotely render a portion of the fourth and final chapter of DreamWorks Animation's Shrek story, Shrek Forever After. In April 2010, Cerelink and DreamWorks Animation first announced their collaboration to remotely render a portion of the studio's March release, How to Train Your Dragon.

Frames from both animated features were rendered on Cerelink's computing equipment located within Intel(R)'s Fab 7 in Rio Rancho and within space allocated to the New Mexico Computing Applications Center (NMCAC).

Cerelink worked with the following persons and organizations to bring this project to fruition:

-- Office of Governor Bill Richardson
-- New Mexico Department of Economic Development
-- New Mexico Film Office
-- New Mexico Computing Applications Center
-- University of New Mexico
-- HP
-- Intel
