TBM Releases New Album "Eats Paste"
CHICAGO, April 1 /PRNewswire/ -- ToyBlock Music celebrates this April Fool's Day with the release of "Eats Paste," the ultimate prank against stodgy, formulaic interpretations of children's songs. The album contains a hip-hop/funk Wheels on the Bus, surf-punk The Cat Came Back, a dark singer/songwriter There Was an Old Woman, a new story about Alice the Camel and other fun gems. The 7-song EP is now available for download at http://www.toyblockmusic.com/. Digital singles and limited edition CDs are also for sale.
ToyBlock Music is a children's music project dedicated to the idea that kids understand, and deserve, real music written and performed by real musicians. "Exposing kids to good music just makes sense, and they love it," says MLC president and founder Joanna Quargnali-Linsley. "What kids listen to should be just as interesting and complex as what we listen to as adults."
The ToyBlock Music team includes Joanna Quargnali-Linsley (president of ToyBlock Music and Misery Loves Co), Alessandro Quargnali-Linsley (Vice-President of ToyBlock Music and Misery Loves Co), Miriam Brosseau (intern and singer/songwriter), Ricco Lumpkins (Grammy-award winner for TLC - "FanMail"), Matt Shane (Grammy-award winner for Flight of the Conchords), Rick Barnes (owner of Rax Trax Studio), and an impressive cadre of passionate, innovative musicians including Austin Collins and Anna Soltys.
A portion of all the proceeds from ToyBlock Music will be contributed to PAGER, http://reflux.org/, a nonprofit organization working to educate and assist families and young children suffering from Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease. GERD is a condition which affects an estimated 7 million babies in the United States, and can lead to life-long health problems if not treated early and continuously.
ToyBlock Music is a Proud Member of ASTRA - http://www.astratoy.org/ (American Specialty Toy Retailers Association). The release of "Eats Paste" is in conjunction with Jason Sadler from http://www.iwearyourshirt.com/. For more information, please contact mgmt@misery-loves.com.
